MIPCOM NEWS: German public broadcaster ZDF and Italy’s Rai Fiction have picked up Lucky Punch coproduction Mia and Me (26×24′), which launched at Mipcom Jr.
Aimed at 6-10s, the series centres on a girl who travels to a mythical land through a high-tech portal created by her father.
Coproduced by Lucky Punch – a joint venture from M4E and Gerhard Hahn – along with Rainbow, March Entertainment and ZDF, the series mixes live-action with Gustav Klimt-inspired animation, according to its creators.
Mia and Me will be completed in 2011 and distributed worldwide by Telescreen, M4Ee and Rainbow.
